Mohamed Hasan Nur (Shaargaduud), the leader of the Rahaweyn Resistance Army, which receives Ethiopian support, visited Italy recently.

It has been reported that he arranged to have his own banknotes printed in Italy in denominations of SSh500 and 1000.

They would be used in the Bay and Bakool regions.
