A Somali delegation headed by Hussein Mohamud Sheikh Hussein, the Finance Minister of the Interim Government arrived here yesterday . The delegation will meet senior officials from the Islamic Development Bank in Jeddah and may proceed on towards Riyadh to see Saudi finance officials to try to secure much needed funds for the Interim Government .

The Saudi Government has so far provided 15 million US dollars and had promised to donate another five million US Dollars as emergency aid to help the Interim Government carry its responsibilities . But the reality is that the situation in the country is getting worse and particularly in the capital city, Mogadishu where kidnapping ,looting and killing has become a way of life .

The Governor of the Central Bank Mohamud Mohamed Ulusow who has been visiting several days in the United Arab Emirates is among the members of the Somali Interim Government delegation .
