The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Transitional Government of Somalia Mr. Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail arrived here early this morning . The Somali Minister was invited by his counterpart Mr. Mohamed Hussein Al-Shaali, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates.

Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail who flew last night from Khartoum (Sudan) ,is expected to meet later today by the UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.

The two sides will discuss bilateral relations, particularly the severe situation of the drought anf famine in Somalia which affects millions of lives in the horn of Africa, and how best the UAE can extend humanitarian assistance to the affected people .
