Gunmen kill well-known Mogadishu doctor

Dr Dahir Shaykh Ahmad - well known in the field of radiology in Mogadishu's Mount Sinai Hospital - was today killed by gunmen in Mogadishu's Karaan District.

Reports say three people travelling in Dr Dahir's car were injured.

The doctor's death will affect operations in areas where the doctors used to work. Patients under his care are bound to suffer.

Dr Dahir also worked at the Muna Ebow X-ray Centre and Florini Hospital The doctor's killing is one of the barbaric practices carried out by bandits on civilians in Mogadishu.

Reason behind the doctor's killing are unknown.
