The Somali transitional government's relocation, scheduled to begin yesterday, has been delayed after a plane developed a mechanical problem. The plane was meant to transport a first delegation of ministers and MPs from Nairobi to Somalia yesterday.
The relocation will now begin in the next few days. The transitional government has operated in Kenya since its formation last year, because of the insecurity in Somalia. The Horn of Africa country last had an internationally recognised government in 1991, and has been in a state of anarchy and inter-warlord conflict since then.
