Two senior
delegations from Djibouti have been holding talks in southern
Somalia as preparations continue for the Somali peace and
reconciliation conference.
It's
due to open in Djibouti on Tuesday, after being postponed
from last week.
One Djibouti
delegation went to the Bay region of southern Somalia, where
it received a top-level welcome at Baidoa airport, despite
the fact that the Rahanwein Resistance Army leadership in
the area previously opposed the Djibouti conference.
A BBC
correspondent in Somalia says it now appears they've changed
their minds.
The second
Djibouti delegation was welcomed to the Hiran region, where
the leadership has long supported the peace conference.
