Sert,Libya-(Jana)4th July 2005

The Prime Minister of Somalia, Ali Mohammed Ghedi, and his accompanying delegation arrived Sunday noon at Sert International Airport to take part in the 5th ordinary session of the African Union Assembly of Heads of State and Government .

The Somali Prime Minister was warmly welcomed by the Secretary General of the People's Committee, The head of the People's Congress of Sert Sha'biya, the secretary of Social Affairs at the congress, a number of members of the secretariat of the People's Committee of Sh'abiya, the Secretary of the Libyan People's Bureau to Somalia, the ambassador and the diplomatic members of the Somali Embassy to Tripoli, a number of senior officers of the Armed Forces of Libya and Public Security.

In a statement to Jana reporter, the Somali Prime Minister expressed his delight to participate in this summit in Sert. " I want to thank the Leader and the Libyan people for the warm reception in Sert city, and express my delight to come to this very important summit for the African needs and I wish it success and positive outcome", The Somali Prime Minister added .
