About the address to the leadership of the progressive African states in relation
to the sharpening of Somali-Ethiopian relations.
KUZNETSOV reports that the Ethiopians have sent
a complaint to the Organization for African Unity, and that our address to
the leadership of the progressive African states with an appeal to take steps
toward the normalization of Somali-Ethiopian relations would be very tlmely.
PONOMAREVsupports Kuznetsov's proposal.
KIRILENKO: The situation which we have here with
these two countries is extremely complicated. We have no reasons to quarrel
with either the Somali side or the Ethiopian side, but we have only limited
capabilities to influence their mutual relations. We need to make a
decision.
